Word ambiguity while playing anagrams?

Hi, I'm just taking kind of a random poll here...when y'all play anagrams and you think of a word that has multiple meanings or lexical categories (E.G.: noun vs. verb), which comes to mind first? Do you tend to think of one or more meanings? Which lexical categories do you automatically assume? I think I'm about halfway on both. Sometimes I only think of one meaning; others I immediately catch on to more than one. I also sometimes default to nouns and not verbs and vice-versa. When I bring my laptop into the living room and play with my family, they tend to do the same thing, so I was wondering how it was for you guys.

Lord, that would involve way too much thinking. I just concentrate on thinking of words and trying not to forget one while typing another.

I don't think about a word's parts of speech when playing anagrams. I just think of as many words as I can. Sometimes, I look up the anagram's definition after I'm done with the word.

I don't consciously thing about it; it just happens. Lol I'm strange.

Yeah, I definitely can't think too hard about the words, as I'm typing them so quickly that if I concentrate too hard on one word, I'll forget all the others waiting to be typed. lol

I don't play anagram games systematically. As I enter words, I often make associations, but they're most-often lexical or aural, not in terms of meaning.

usually nouns more so than verbs although, very many times I used noun to verb associations to get additional anagrams.
On a side note, I don't like the anagrams on here since everybody who plays it from the looks of it cheats every single time therefore taking the fun out of it.

I'm sorry you think everybody who plays Anagrams games is cheating. I do not, and I'm sure there are many others who do not. You'll never see the honest players in the leader board; haha. As in many things, a very-visible few ruin it for the rest. Keep on anagramming, if you like it, and forget the cheaters.

@Pikachu: I agree. I think a lot of people are cheating. Or in MENSA or however you spell it, which I'm not. Hahaah

I just er.... enter words in order within the letters. I don't think of too much meaning as that would be too much like doing english homework for me.
